Frederick Douglass coach Kurt Young started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Bilal Chhadh, 6-2 Sr. Jayden Brown, 6-6 Sr. Brendan Reynolds, 5-10 Sr. Montaveon Bean, and 6-1 So. DeShawn Jackson.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-2 Sr. Javen Hardin, 5-10 Sr. Evan Dreux, 6-9 Jr. Ray Surratt, 5-5 So. Daniel Kinley, and 5-8 Sr. Caleb True.

Lafayette defeated Frederick Douglass by a score of 62-60.  The score was tied twice with three lead changes.  Lafayette shot 40% from the field including six of 20 from the three point line.  The Generals connected on 20 of 28 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 43.4% from the field including four of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 10 of 15 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Lafayette turnovers.

Ray Surratt led Lafayette with 19 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and four blocked shots.  Evan Dreux added 14 points including nine of 11 free throws, three assists, and three steals.  Caleb True recorded 11 points including three three point baskets.

DeShawn Jackson led Frederick Douglass with 20 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.  Brendan Reynolds added 16 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Bilal Chhadh pulled down eight rebounds.
