Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Lauren Thomas, 5-9 Fr. Amiya Jenkins, 5-10 Fr. Kennedy Williams, 5-5 So. Ravion Jackson, and 5-7 Sr. Kiya Thompson.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 So. Kenady Tompkins, 5-10 Sr. Maaliya Owens, 6-2 Jr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Juliette Smith, and 5-5 Jr. Morgan DeFoor. 

 

Scott County trailed 17-16 after the first quarter but quickly rallied to take control on their way to an 88-57 victory over Henry Clay.  Scott County shot 52.3% from the field including nine of 19 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 11 of 23 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 37.5% from the field including three of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored five points off 10 Scott County turnovers.

 

Malea Williams led Scott County with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Maaliya Owens added 17 points including three three point baskets, six of eight free throws, and five rebounds.  Morgan DeFoor recorded 17 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, six assists, and three steals.  Kenady Tompkins chipped in with 14 points and four rebounds.  Juliette Smith chipped in with five points, four rebounds, and six assists.

 

Kiya Thompson led Henry Clay with 26 points including two three point baskets, and six of eight free throws.  Amiya Jenkins added 15 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Kennedy Williams recorded nine points and five rebounds.
