Waggener coach Bryan O’Neill started the following lineup: 6-4 Sr. Jaago Kalakon, 6-3 Jr. Dallas Rufus, 6-4 Sr. Nicholas Brewer, 5-11 Sr. Jacobi Hendricks, and 6-1 Sr. Kevion Hudson.  Trinity coach Mike Szabo countered with 6-5 Sr. David Johnson, 6-3 Sr. Jamil Hardaway, 6-4 Sr. Stan Turnier, 5-8 Sr. Kolton Rice, and 6-0 Sr. Kamari Kenemore.

 

Waggener led 15-8 after the first quarter on their way to a 58-47 victory over Trinity.  Waggener shot 52.2% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line.  The Wildcats connected on four of five free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 18 points off nine Trinity turnovers.  Trinity shot 37.3% from the field including three of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Shamrocks connected on six of seven free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 11 Waggener turnovers.

 

6-5 Sr. Cobie Montgomery led Waggener with 18 points, two assists, and three blocked shots.  Jacobi Hendricks added 16 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Kevion Hudson recorded 10 points and seven rebounds.  Jaago Kalakon chipped in with six points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

 

David Johnson led Trinity with 25 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Stan Turnier added eight points.  Jamil Hardaway recorded four points and eight rebounds.
