Austin Peay University coach David Midlick started the following lineup: 6-0 Fr. Maggie Knowles, 5-10 Sr. Keisha Gregory, 6-1 Jr. Ariella Gonzalez-Varner, 5-7 So. Brianah Ferby, and 5-7 So. Brandi Ferby.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Chrissy Roberts countered with 6-0 Jr. Catie Kaifes, 5-11 So. Bria Bass, 5-11 Sr. Abby Wright, 5-8 Jr. Shay Solomon, and 5-11 Gr. Paige Murphy.

Eastern Kentucky University led 36-35 at halftime but Austin Peay outscored Eastern Kentucky 21-9 in the final quarter to pull away for an 80-60 victory.  The score was tied five times and there were 16 lead changes in the game.  Austin Peay shot 42.6% from the field including 15 of 33 from the three point line.  The Governors connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 42.9% from the field including four of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on eight of 10 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored six points off 10 Austin Peay turnovers.

Ariella Gonzalez-Varner led Austin Peay with 20 points, nine rebounds, and two steals.  Keisha Gregory added 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  5-8 Jr. Gabby Gregory recorded 13 points including three three point baskets and two steals.  Maggie Knowles chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets and four rebounds.  5-11 Jr. Nieja Crawford added seven points, seven rebounds, and three assists.

Abby Wright led Eastern Kentucky with 16 points and six rebounds.  Shay Solomon added 14 points, five rebounds, five assists, and two steals.  Bria Bass recorded 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals.  Catie Kaifes chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and two assists.
