Trinity coach Mike Szabo started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. David Johnson, 6-3 Sr. Jamil Hardaway, 6-4 Sr. Stan Turnier, 5-8 Sr. Kolton Rice, and 6-0 Sr. Kamari Kenemore. Campbell County coach Aric Russell started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Reid Jolly, 6-3 Sr. Drew Wilson, 6-3 Sr. Tanner Lawrence, 5-11 Jr. Jordan Gross, and 6-1 Sr. Noah Wirth.
Trinity defeated Campbell County by a score of 42-40. The score was tied four times and there were two lead changes in the game. Trinity led 15 early in the second quarter but Campbell County roared back to take a five point lead late in the third quarter. Campbell County had one last chance but Reid Jolly had his shot blocked by David Johnson to ensure the victory.
Trinity shot 37.8% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line. The Shamrocks connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 11 Campbell County turnovers. Campbell County shot 44.4% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc. The Camels connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored five points off four Trinity turnovers.
David Johnson led Trinity with 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two blocked shots, and three steals. 6-1 So. Ethan Hodge came up big off the bench with 11 points including four of four free throws.
Reid Jolly led Campbell County with 17 points and five rebounds. Drew Wilson added 10 points.
