Murray (28-3) vs. Ryle (29-5) Game 4

Murray coach Wayne Foust started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Parker Greer, 5-7 So. Makenzie Turley, 5-10 Jr. Calli Carver, 5-7 So. Angela Gierhart, and 5-6 Sr. Elizabeth Curtis.  Ryle coach Katie Haitz countered with 5-11 Jr. Maddie Scherr, 5-9 So. Brie Crittendon, 5-11 Sr. Lauren Schwartz, 5-7 Sr. Juliet McGregor, and 5-7 Jr. Jaiden Douthit.

 

Ryle’s defense recorded 15 steals and scored 27 points off 25 Murray turnovers in a 56-29 victory.  Ryle shot 62.5% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Raiders connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 24 rebounds and held a 9-3 advantage on second chance points.  Murray shot 38.5% from the field including five of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Tigers connected on four of six free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored three points off eight Ryle turnovers.

 

Lauren Schwartz led Ryle with 15 points including five of six free throws and five assists.  Maddie Scherr added 10 points including four of four free throws, five rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and six steals.  Jaiden Douthit recorded 10 points including three three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.5-9 Fr. Austin Johnson chipped in with 10 points including four of four free throws and three rebounds.  Brie Crittendon added six points and six steals.  Juliet McGregor pulled down nine rebounds.

 

Calli Carver led Murray with nine points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Parker Greer added eight points and three rebounds.  Elizabeth Curtis chipped in with six points on two three point baskets.
