West Jessamine led 22-21 at halftime but Paul Laurence Dunbar rallied to earn a 44-28 victory. Dunbar recorded 18 first downs and 410 yards of total yardage. The Bulldogs were penalized six times for 109 yards and had a pass intercepted which was returned 42 yards for a touchdown. West Jessamine recorded 20 first downs and 333 yards of total offense. The Colts were penalized eight times for 45 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.
Mitchell Joseph led Dunbar’s ground game with 145 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. Jacob Greene carried the ball nine times for 51 yards and two touchdowns. Jake Smith completed eight of 13 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns with one interception. JaMarcus Robinson caught five passes for 71 yards and a touchdown. Mitchell Joseph added a reception for 59 yards. Howard Jackson and Frank Illunga added touchdown receptions of 47 and 37 yards respectively. JaMarcus Robinson returned two kickoffs for 54 yards with a long return of 45 yards and returned a punt for 19 yards. Josiah Brown led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Howard Jackson added seven solo and four assisted tackles. John Law recorded five solo tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards. Tyler Johnson recorded four solo tackles, broke up two passes and intercepted two passes.
Kane Lathery led West Jessamine’s ground game with 49 yards on nine carries. Haden Rowland carried the ball 12 times for 40 yards. Noah Reliford completed 19 of 29 passes for 193 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Kane Lathery completed his only pass for 34 yards and a touchdown. Jackson Green caught 12 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Haden Rowland added three receptions for 32 yards. Kane Lathery caught a 36 yard touchdown reception. Logan Hornsby led the defense with seven solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss. Ian Fain added seven solo tackles. Isaiah Albertson recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. Jackson Green returned an interception 42 yards for a touchdown.
