Eastern Kentucky University trailed 10-7 after the first quarter but scored 28 unanswered points on their way to a 35-10 victory over Presbyterian. Eastern Kentucky University recorded 23 first downs and 452 yards of total offense. The Colonels were penalized five times for 50 yards and had two passes intercepted. Presbyterian recorded 15 first downs and 224 yards of total offense. They were penalized six times for 40 yards and had two passes intercepted.
Daryl McCleskey led Eastern Kentucky’s ground game with 138 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Alonzo Booth carried the ball 12 times for 56 yards and a touchdown. Parker McKinney added 19 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Parker McKinney completed 14 of 20 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Connor Blount completed three of seven passes for 38 yards with one interception. Dakota Allen was zero of two with one interception. Austin Scott completed one of two passes for 30 yards. Keyion Dixon caught six passes for 101 yards and a touchdown. Daryl McCleskey added three receptions for 21 yards. Jackson Beerman caught two passes for 52 yards. Jaelin Carter added a one yard touchdown reception. Quentin Pringle returned two kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 34 yards. Alonzo Booth returned one kickoff for 32 yards. Jerome Gross returned four punts for 32 yards with a long return of 16 yards. Josh Hayes led the defense with five solo and one assisted tackles. Aaron Patrick added two solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a five yard loss. Allante Leapheart recorded five solo tackles. Joseph Sayles intercepted two passes he returned for 54 yards.
Jarius Jeter led Presbyterian’s ground game with 58 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries. Zola Davis carried the ball nine times for 28 yards. B. Thompson completed 17 of 35 passes for 122 yards with two touchdowns. Keith Pearson caught seven passes for 43 yards. Mack Simmons added five receptions for 24 yards. Dohnte Meyers caught three passes for 26 yards. Dirk Cureton returned two kickoffs for 57 yards with a long return of 46 yards. Colby Campbell led the defense with 11 solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 13 yards. Dirk Cureton added seven solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling nine yards. Rod Haygood and Ian Rome each intercepted a pass.
