Demarcus Avery moved to quarterback after Jayden Scroggin suffered an injury and sparked DeSales to a 41-7 victory over Bardstown tonight.  Bardstown took a 7-0 first quarter lead but DeSales led 21-7 at halftime and were never threatened in the second half.  DeSales recorded 14 first downs and 352 yards of total offense.  The Colts were penalized four times for 37 yards and lost a fumble.  Bardstown recorded six first downs and 119 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized seven times for 83 yards.

James Johnson led DeSales’ ground game with 138 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Demarcus Avery added 92 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries.  Demarcus Avery completed three of four passes for 82 yards and two touchdowns.  Jayden Scroggin completed two of three passes for 23 yards.  Demetri Scott caught two passes for 24 yards and a touchdown.  Antione Johnson added one reception for 56 yards and a touchdown.  Lance Weiter returned one kickoff for 28 yards.  Antione Johnson returned one kickoff for 25 yards.  Derek Hollenkamp led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles.  Lance Weiter also recorded six solo and four assisted tackles.  DeJuan Watkins added five solo and two assisted tackles with three defensive sacks.  Darren Hollenkamp chipped in with for solo and two assisted tackles.

DaTrail Wright led the Bardstown ground game with 13 yards on four carries.  LaDarion Montgo added eight yards on nine carries.  Brady Clark completed 17 of 29 passes for 133 yards and one touchdown.  Tereylin Calbert caught six passes for 43 yards.  Jase Phillips added 35 yards on five receptions.  LaDarion Montgo caught four passes for 42 yards.  Gray Clark added a four yard touchdown reception.  JaRel Montgomery returned one kickoff for 24 yards.
