Lexington Catholic coach Lee Tegt started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Ariel West, 5-8 Jr. Farah Weldon, 5-10 Jr. Emma Frank, 5-6 So. Hannah Carlisle, and 5-7 Fr. Katherine Truitt. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-6 Jr. Kennon Owens, 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 5-6 So. Emma Price, and 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor.
Scott County raced out to a 27-7 first quarter lead on their way to an 82-45 victory over Lexington Catholic. Scott County shot 51.6% from the field including 10 of 25 from the three point line. The Cardinals connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 33 points off 23 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 28.3% from the field including zero of nine from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 19 of 33 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 23 Scott County turnovers.
Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 28 points including seven three point baskets, four assists, and two steals. Malea Williams added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Kenady Tompkins recorded eight points, 14 rebounds, and three blocked shots. Emma Price chipped in with seven points, nine assists, and five steals.
Farah Weldon led Lexington Catholic with 11 points including seven of 10 free throws. 5-5 Fr. Mary Martin Hampton also scored 11 points. Emma Frank recorded eight points and five rebounds.
