Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Olivia Cathers, 5-7 So. Lauren Walton, 6-0 So. Anaya Brown, 5-6 Jr. Megan Swauger, and 5-7 Jr. Isa Stumpf.  Tates Creek coach Matt Yates countered with 5-8 So. Caty Armishaw, 5-7 Sr .Lateya Wilson, 5-8 Sr. Yasmeen Shalash, 5-5 So. Maddie Kaufman, and 5-3 So. Alisce Lyvers.

 

Tates Creek raced out to a 19-5 first quarter lead on their way to a 66-43 victory over Lafayette.  Tates Creek scored 43 points off 36 Lafayette turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 39.6% from the field including four of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Commodores connected on 20 of 26 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and held a 29-6 advantage in bench scoring.  Lafayette shot 40% from the field including zero of four from beyond the arc.  The Lady Generals connected on 11 of 27 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 25 Tates Creek turnovers.

 

Caty Armishaw led Tates Creek with 11 points, six rebounds, and two steals.  Maddie Kaufman also scored 11 points including three three point baskets.  Alisce Lyvers recorded eight points, three rebounds, eight assists, and three steals.  5-8 So. Joyce Mukalamusi added six points.  5-3 Fr. Jada Bell also scored six points.

 

Megan Swauger led Lafayette with 13 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Anaya Brown added 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Olivia Cathers added nine points, nine rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.
