Mike Mendenhall III started the following lineup: Jr. Kobe Blake,  Jr. Will Stanfield, 6-9 Sr. Ray Surratt, Fr. Jayd Huynh, and Jr. Campbell DeYoung.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus countered with 6-3 Jr. Kole Browne, 6-1 Jr. Braeden Ray, 6-3 Sr. William Jacobs, 5-10 Jr. Luke Coleman, and Jr. Carter Buckner.

 

Madison Central defeated Lafayette 75-66 in overtime.  Madison Central led by 17 points late in the third quarter but Lafayette outscored the Indians 21-8 in the final quarter to force overtime.  Madison Central outscored Lafayette 9-0 in the extra stanza for the victory.  There were four ties and seven lead changes in the game.  Madison Central shot 43.5% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 36rebounds, and scored 20 points off 20 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 47.2% from the field including eight of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on eight of 18 from the free throw line, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Braeden Ray led Madison Central with 26 points including five three point baskets, five rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals.  Kole Browne added 22 points including seven of seven free throws, nine rebounds, and four assists.  So. Will Hardin chipped in with nine points.  Carter Buckner recorded seven points, four rebounds, four assists, and four steals.

 

Ray Surratt led Lafayette with 27 points, 12 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Will Stanfield added 17 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three steals.  Jayd Huynh chipped in with eight points.
