Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jackson Smith, 6-3 Sr. Luke Wedding, 6-4 Sr. Peyton Pelfrey, 6-2 So. Jack Gohmann, and 6-3 Jr. Ben Johnson.  Danville coach Ed McKinney countered with 6-1 Sr. Damion Givens-Ford, 6-0 Sr. Trey Dawson, 6-2 Sr. Darrian Bell, 5-8 So. Aiden Slone, and 5-11 Jr. Dante Hayden.

Lexington Catholic fueled by Ben Johnson’s 35 points including 17 in the first quarter and 30 in the first half defeated Danville on the road by a score of 73-61.  Lexington Catholic shot 48% from the field including nine of 24 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 16 of 23 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 10 Danville turnovers.  Danville shot 48.1% from the field including seven of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Admirals connected on two of eight free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 12 points off eight Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 35 points including seven three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three assists.  6-1 Sr. Ian Rothbauer added 12 points.  Jack Gohmann chipped in with eight points and Jackson Smith recorded seven points and five rebounds.

Dante Hayden led Danville with 16 points including four three point baskets.  6-5 Jr. Ethan Wood added 12 points and seven rebounds.  Darrian Bell recorded 10 points and nine rebounds.  Aiden Slone added 10 points and 12 rebounds.
