St. Henry vs. Collins (Girls)

13th Annual Gateway Holiday Classic (Championship)

St. Henry coach Todd Smart started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Morgan Flanagan, 5-7 Sr. Katie Evans, 5-9 Jr. Kathryn Bartlett, 5-5 So. Katelyn Ives, and 5-5 Sr. Abby Millay.  Collins coach Jeff Rogers countered with 5-8 Jr. Emma Banta, 5-7 Jr. Allendra Brooks, 5-10 Sr. Olivia Federle, 5-3 Fr. Makyra Beach, and 5-6 Jr. Haylee Renfro.

 

St. Henry outscored Collins 17-8 in the second quarter on their way to a 58-50 victory over the Lady Titans.  St. Henry scored 22 points off 16 Collins turnovers and held an 18-8 advantage in bench points.  St. Henry shot 43.5% from the field including three of 11 from the three point line.  The Crusaders connected on 15 of 24 free throws and pulled down 31 rebounds.  Collins shot 43.2% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Titans connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored eight points off 11 St. Henry turnovers.

 

Morgan Flanagan led St. Henry with 22 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Katie Evans added 10 points, eight rebounds, and five steals.  5-5 Fr. Amanda Schuleter recorded 10 points and four assists.  Abby Millay chipped in with seven points and five rebounds. 

 

Olivia Federle led Collins with 15 points including seven of 10 from the free throw line, seven rebounds, two assists, and five steals.  Makyra Beach added 15 point, four rebounds, and three assists. Allendra Brooks recorded seven points.
