WJ Keenan (SC) coach Mark Sanders started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Jailyn Oree, 5-7 Jr. Tamyra Davis, 5-9 Sr. Valdasha Jones, 5-2 Sr. Brooklyn Woods, and 5-7 Fr. Milaysia Fulwiley.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-6 Jr. Kennon Owens, 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 5-6 So. Emma Price, and 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor.

 

Keenan (SC) raced out to a 25-15 first quarter lead on their way to a 77-55 victory over Scott County.  Keenan (SC) shot 33.3% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line.  They connected on 23 of 28 free throws, pulled down 61 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 18 Scott County turnovers.  Scott County shot 26.8% from the field including four of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Cardinals connected on 13 of 26 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 17 Keenan (SC) turnovers.

 

Mailaysia Fulwiley led Keenan (SC) with 33 points including six three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, seven rebounds, five assists, and six steals.  Tamyra Davis added 14 points including two three point baskets.  Brooklyn Woods chipped in with nine points.  Valdasha Jones added seven points and seven rebounds.  Jailyn Oree recorded five points and 11 rebounds.

 

Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 14 points and four assists.  Malea Williams added 10 points, 14 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Kenady Tompkins recorded six points, eight rebounds, and five blocked shots.  6-0 Jr. Kaylie Wise chipped in with six points and eight rebounds.
