Butler (NC) coach Mark Sanders started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Chayla Scott,  5-8 Sr. Noura Aboutaleb, 6-1 Sr.Michaela Lane, 5-5 Sr. Ashlyn Dotson, and 5-6 Sr. Payton Sutton.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 6-3 Jr. Treneye Kenney, 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor, and 6-0 Jr. Kaylie Wise.

Scott County defeated Butler (NC) by the score of 70-60.  Scott County shot 37.3% from the field including one of 14 from the three point line.  The Cardinals connected on 13 of 23 free throws, pulled down 63 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 18 Butler (NC) turnovers.  Butler (NC) shot 30.3% from the field including three of 20 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 11 of24 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 25 Scott County turnovers.

Morgan DeFoor led Scott County with 23 points and five assists.  Malea Williams added 20 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  Kenady Tompkins recorded 10 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists.

Michaela Lane led Butler (NC) with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals.  Ashlyn Dotson added 13 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Payton Sutton recorded 13 points, four rebounds, and three steals.  Chayla Scott added seven points and 15 rebounds.
