Conner coach Michelle Gambrel started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Maddie Drummonds, 5-5 Sr. Emily Zorich, 5-9 Sr. Tyra Murphy, 5-3 Sr. Georgia Craddock, and 5-4 Jr. Ellie Smith. Male coach Maurice Ponder countered with5-6 So. Darian Griggs, 5-4 So. Makya Grinter, 6-0 8th Grade Ramiya White, 5-2 Fr. Desaine Mhango, and 5-4 Fr. KaNiah Edelen.
Conner defeated Male by a score of 67-52. Conner shot 46% from the field including three of eight from the three point line. The Lady Cougars connected on six of 10 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 Male turnovers. Male shot 38.2% from the field including six of 17 from beyond the arc. The Lady Bulldogs connected on four of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off 15 Conner turnovers.
Tyra Murphy led Conner with 29 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Murphy was 12 of 20 from the field and five of five from the free throw line. Maddie Drummonds added 11 points and seven rebounds. Emily Zorich recorded seven points and four assists.
Makya Grinter led Male with 17 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and four steals. KaNiah Edelen added 11 points, four rebounds, and five assists. 5-3 8th Grade Nylaia Carter chipped in with eight points. Desaine Mhango added seven points, six rebounds, and three assists.
