Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray, 5-11 Jr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Jr. I’Liyah Green, 5-6 Jr.Teri Goodlett, and 5-6 Jr. Qay Stanton.  Belmont University coach Bart Brooks countered with 6-1 So. Conley Chinn, 6-0 Sr. Ellie Harmeyer, 6-1 Sr. Maddie Wright, 5-7 So. Jamilyn Kinney, and 6-0 Fr. Kiki Britzmann.

Belmont University led Eastern Kentucky University 29-26 at halftime and pulled away in the second half for a 68-48 victory.  There were two lead changes and one tie in this game.  Belmont University shot 37.3% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 16 of 20 free throws, pulled down 48 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 26.6% from the field including nine of 35 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Belmont turnovers.

Conley Chinn led Belmont with 15 points including four three point baskets, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Ellie Harmeyer added 14 points including six of eight free throws, 11 rebounds, and two assists.  Jamilyn Kinney recorded 14 points including four three point baskets and three assists.  Maddie Wright chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Teri Goodlett led Eastern Kentucky with 10 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and five assists.  Qay Stanton added 10 points including two three point baskets and three assists.  I’Liyah Green recorded seven points and eight rebounds.
