Assumption coach Stacy Pendleton started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr.  Megan Willinghurst, 5-11 Sr. Jacqueline Racque, 6-3 Sr. Madalynn Nalley, 5-7 Sr. Reese Sexton, and 5-7 Sr. Payton Cronen.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 Jr. Josie Gilvin, 5-8 Sr. Destinee Marshall, 6-0 Sr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5 Sr. Erin Toller, and 5-9 Sr. Callie Birk.

Sacred Heart raced out to a 21-4 first quarter lead on their way to a 71-49 victory over Assumption.  Sacred Heart shot 53.8% from the field including nine of 21 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15Assumption turnovers.  Assumption shot 41.5% from the field including nine of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on six of eight free throws, pulled down 20 rebounds, and scored seven points off eight Sacred Heart turnovers.

Erin Toller led Sacred Heart with 31 points including seven three point baskets, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Destinee Marshall added 18 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and six assists.  Kristen Clemons recorded 11 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.

Payton Cronen led Assumption with 20 points including four three point baskets.  Reese Sexton added 13 points including three three point baskets.
