Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Morgan Stamper, 5-9 Sr. Mattie Vickers, 6-0 So. Sereniti Webb, 5-7 Sr. Kady Schawe, and 5-6 Sr. Maggi Jones.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 6-0 Jr. Kaylie Wise, 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams, 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-6 So. Emma Price.

 

Morgan DeFoor scored what proved to be the game winning layup with five seconds left in the game to give Scott County a 50-48 victory over Simon Kenton.  The score was tied five times and there were 10 lead changes in the game.  Scott County shot 39.5% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 13 of 15 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 12 Simon Kenton turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 30.8% from the field including seven of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Pioneers connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 21 Scott County turnovers.

 

Malea Williams led Scott County with 16 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Morgan DeFoor added 12 points including five of five free throws, four rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Kenady Tompkins recorded 12 points, five rebounds, and two steals.

 

Maggi Jones led Simon Kenton with 13 points including two three point baskets, four assists, and three steals.  Mattie Vickers added 11 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Morgan Stamper recorded seven points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  Kady Schawe also scored seven points.
