Christian Academy of Louisville coach Cameron Pridemore started the following lineup: 6-0 Jr. Sydney Raque, 5-10 Sr. Shelby Calhoun, 5-9 Jr. Alexa Breedlove, 5-7 So. Jaya McClure, and 5-9 Sr. Mia Beam.  Sacred Heart Academy coach Donna Moir countered with 5-10 So. Josie Gilvin, 5-8 Sr. Destinee Marshall, 6-0 Sr. Kristen Clemons, 5-5Sr. Erin Toller, and 5-6 Fr. Triniti Ralston.

 

Sacred Heart eked out a narrow 62-59 decision over Christian Academy of Louisville in a battle between two of the state’s best teams.  Sacred Heart Academy raced out to a 16-3 lead but CAL battled back and there were four lead changes and five ties in the game.  Sacred Heart shot 35.2% from the field including seven of 19 from the three point line.  The Valkyries connected on 17 of 28 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 13 CAL turnovers.  CAL shot 40.4% from the field including nine of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Centurions connected on eight of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored eight points off 13 Sacred Heart turnovers.

 

Destinee Marshall led Sacred Heart Academy with 16 points including three three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  Kristen Clemons added 15 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocked shots.  Erin Toller recorded 13 points including two three point baskets, nine rebounds, five assists, and three steals.  Triniti Ralston chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  Josie Gilvin pulled down 10 rebounds.

 

Shelby Calhoun led Christian Academy of Louisville with 16 points and 11 rebounds.  Mia Beam added 14 points including four three point baskets.  Jaya McClure recorded 14 points including three three point baskets.  Shelby Calhoun and Alexa Breedlove fouled out for CAL tonight.
