South Laurel coach Chris Souders started the following lineup: 5-10 Fr. Emily Cox, 5-8 Sr. Ameraeh Steele, 5-10 Fr. Clara Collins, 5-5 Jr. Brianna Howard, and 5-6 Sr. Sydnie Hall.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Jr. Kenady Tompkins, 6-0 Jr. Kaylie Wise, 6-3 Sr. Malea Williams. 5-5 Sr. Morgan DeFoor, and 5-6 So. Emma Price.

 

Scott County defeated South Laurel 94-84 in a game that featured a total of 161 shots attempted and a total of 107 rebounds.  There were two lead changes in the game and three ties.  Scott County shot 47.4% from the field including five of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 17 of 23 free throws, pulled down 73 rebounds, and scored six points off five South Laurel turnovers.  South Laurel shot 31.8% from the field including 11 of 44 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Cardinals connected on 19 of 28 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 25 points off 23 Scott County turnovers.

 

Malea Williams led Scott County with 25 points, 22 rebounds, and three assists.  Kenady Tompkins added 22 points, 22 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Morgan DeFoor recorded 19 points, four rebounds, and 13 assists.  Kaylie Wise chipped in with seven points and nine rebounds.

 

Ameraeh Steele led South Laurel with 30 points including four three point baskets, eight of nine free throws, eight rebounds, and six steals.  Emily Cox added 19 points and eight rebounds.  Brianna Howard recorded 14 points including two three point baskets and three assists.  Sydnie Hall chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and five steals.  Clara Collins added nine points on three three point baskets.
