Harrison County coach Kimberly Marshall started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Katelin Ecklar, 5-8 So. Kara Hines, 5-9 Jr. Elizabeth Allison, 5-4 So. Gabrielle Hatterick, and 5-6 Sr. Sylvonya Williams. Madison Central coach Brad Lovely countered with 5-10 Jr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-9 Sr. Taleya Todd, 5-11 Sr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-4 Fr. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Jr. Brianna Bierbaum.
Harrison County led by 11 points midway through the second quarter but Madison Central outscored the Fillies 19-2 in the third quarter on their way to a 48-31 victory. The second half was disastrous for Harrison County as they only scored eight points and shot 9.1% from the field after the intermission. The score was tied three times and there were four lead changes in the game. Madison Central controlled the boards as they held a 47-27 advantage in rebounds and outscored Harrison County 30-14 in the paint.
Madison Central shot 42.2% from the field including one of four from the three point line. The Indians connected on nine of 24 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Harrison County turnovers. Harrison County shot 21.4% from the field including one of 12 from beyond the arc. The Fillies connected on 12 of 17 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 20 Madison Central turnovers.
Jekauri McKeithen led Madison Central with 16 points and 20 rebounds. Taleya Todd added 12 points, four rebounds, and five blocked shots. Eve Carter recorded nine points, seven rebounds, four assists, and six steals. Gretchen Hammitt chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Katelin Ecklar led Harrison County with 10 points, two rebounds, and three steals. Gabrielle Hatterick added nine points, two rebounds, and three steals. Kara Hines pulled down 10 rebounds.
