Ballard coach Chris Renner started the following lineup: 6-6 Sr. Rashad Bishop, 6-3 Fr. Gabe Sisk, 6-9 So. Maker Bar, 5-9 Fr. Jack Edelen, and 6-1 Sr. Lewis Richards.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with 6-2 Sr. Marques Warrick, 6-1 Sr. Sebian Dillard, 6-6 Sr. Jackson Phillips, 5-8 Sr. Terron Hughes, and 6-0 Sr. Marquis Mackey.

Henry Clay led Ballard 52-39 in the third quarter but had to survive a Ballard rally to earn a 85-72 overtime victory. There were 11 lead changes and nine ties in this game.  Henry Clay shot 57.7% from the field including six of 12 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 19 of 26 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 16 Ballard turnovers.  Ballard shot 50% from the field including two of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Bruins connected on four of 10 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers.

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 34 points including 13 of 16 free throws, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Marquis Mackey added 25 points including two three point baskets, five of six free throws and three rebounds.  Sebian Dillard recorded 20 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Rashad Bishop led Ballard with 17 points and eight rebounds.  Maker Bar added 13 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Lewis Richards recorded 12 points and four rebounds.  6-4 Sr. Terrence McDaniels chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.  Jack Edelen added nine points and four assists.
