Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-1 Jr. Samari Mowbray, 5-10 Fr. Maleaha Bell, 6-2 Jr. I’Liyah Green, 5-6 Jr. Qay Stanton, and 5-6 Jr. Teri Goodlett.  SIUE coach Paula Buscher countered with 6-0 Jr. Zaria Whitlock, 5-11 Fr. Mikayla Kinnard, 6-1 Fr. Kaitlin Lee, 5-4 So. Mikia Keith, and 5-10 Jr. Allie Troeckler.

Eastern Kentucky University led SIUE 25-24 at halftime and pulled away to earn a 68-38 victory over SIUE.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 41.8% from the field including eight of 18 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 24 SIUE turnovers.  SIUE shot 25.4% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  They connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored three points off 12 EKU turnovers.

Teri Goodlett led Eastern Kentucky University with 20 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Qay Stanton added 16 points, three rebounds, and three steals.  Samari Mowbray recorded 14 points including three three point baskets, seven rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  I’Liyah Green chipped in with 10 points, six rebounds, and four blocked shots.

Allie Troeckler led SIUE with 12 points and six rebounds.  Mikia Keith added six points including two three point baskets, five rebounds, and two steals.  Mikayla Kinnard recorded four points, six rebounds, five assists, and one blocked shot.
