South Oldham coach Steven Simpson started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Luke Morrison, 6-3 Sr. Seth Johnson, 6-6 So. Ben Michel, 5-10 Sr. Jason King, and 6-2 Sr. Tim Stragand.  Lafayette coach Mike Mendenhall III countered with 6-3 Jr. Campbell DeYoung, 5-10 Fr. Jayd Huynh, 6-9 Sr. Ray Surratt, 5-10 Jr. Kobe Blake, and 5-10 Jr. Will Stanfield.

 

South Oldham raced out to a 23-12 first quarter lead on their way to a 79-62 victory.  South Oldham shot 53.7% from the field including 13 of 28 from the three point line.  The Dragons connected on eight of 11 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 17 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 48.9% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven South Oldham turnovers.

 

Luke Morrison led South Oldham with 27 points including five three point baskets.  Seth Johnson added 24 points including four three point baskets, four of five free throws, five rebounds, and two assists.  6-0 Sr. Nick Cranfill recorded 10 points including two three point baskets. 

 

Ray Surratt led Lafayette with 31 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.  Surratt was 11 of 13 from the field and nine of nine from the free throw line.  Campbell DeYoung added 19 points including three three point baskets and three rebounds.
