Franklin County coach Tony Wise started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Jacob Lewis, 6-3 So. Jayden Mattison, 6-6 Jr. Phillip Peiffer, 5-7 Sr. Derrick King, and 5-8 So. Zac Cox.  Madison Southern coach Austin Newton countered with 6-2 Sr. Jonah Wooten, 6-1 Sr. Chad Fugate, 6-4 So. Nate Turner, 5-6 Sr. Colby Sebastian, and 5-11 Sr. Hunter Buchanan.

Madison Southern led by 21 points in the second quarter but had to withstand a furious Franklin County rally to earn a 69-67 victory.  Franklin County outscored Madison Southern 20-7 in the final quarter.  Madison Southern shot 49.1% from the field including 11 of 28 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 23 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Franklin County turnovers.  Franklin County shot 52.1% from the field including 10 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Flyers connected on seven of 10 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 15 points off seven Madison Southern turnovers.

Hunter Buchanan led Madison Southern with 20 points including six three point baskets, six rebounds, and two assists.  Chad Fugate added 17 points, three rebounds, four assists, and three steals.  Jonah Wooten recorded 13 points including three three point baskets, three assists, and two steals.  Nate Turner chipped in with seven points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Colby Sebastian dished out seven assists.

Derrick King led Franklin County with 14 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, and six assists.  6-9 Sr. Joe Meador added 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Zac Cox recorded 12 points including two three point baskets.  Phillip Peiffer chipped in with 10 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.
