Great Crossing vs. Rockcastle County (Girls)

Great Crossing coach Glenn Wilson Jr. started the following lineup: 5-9 8th Grade Ava Schureman, 5-7 So. Rachel Smith, 6-0 Fr. Raegan Barrett, 5-1 Jr. Braylee McMath, and 5-7 So. Timothi Williams. Rockcastle County coach Chrysti Noble countered with 6-0 Fr. Keelee King, 5-11 Jr. Casey Coleman, 6-0 Sr. McKenzi Himes, 5-5 Sr. Shelby Newland, and 5-7 Sr. Bailee Allen.

 

Rockcastle County defeated Great Crossing by the score of 78-68.  Rockcastle County shot 57.7% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Rockets connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored eight points off four Great Crossing turnovers.  Great Crossing shot 48.1% from the field including 10 of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Warhawks connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 19 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Rockcastle County turnovers.

 

Keelee King led Rockcastle County with 23 points including seven three point baskets and seven rebounds.  McKenzi Himes added 19 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Casey Coleman recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.  6-1 Fr. Hallie Brown chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.

 

Braylee McMath led Great Crossing with 25 points, two rebounds, nine assists, and five steals.  Timothi Williams added 19 points including four three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals.  Rachel Smith recorded 17 points including five three point baskets.
