Marion County coach Kelly Wood started the following lineup: 5-8 Sr. Ciara Mosely, 5-9 Sr. Dailyn Spalding, 5-11 Sr. Jayla Cowherd, 5-6 Jr. Tanika Williams, and 5-8 Sr. Katie Mattingly.  Bullitt East coach Chris Stallings countered with5-10 Sr. Lexi Taylor, 5-11 Sr. Kennedy Griffin, 5-11 Sr. Madison Thornton, 5-3 Sr. Sarah Ezell, and 5-8 Sr. Caroline Scott.

Marion County defeated Bullitt East by the score of 71-67.  The score was tied five times and there were two lead changes in the game.  Marion County shot 44.7% from the field including seven of 14 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on22 of 29 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 11 Bullitt East turnovers.  Bullitt East shot 43.3% from the field including eight of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Chargers connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 12 Marion County turnovers.

Tanika Williams led Marion County with 18 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Dailyn Spalding added 18 points, five rebounds, and four assists.  Ciara Mosely recorded 16 points, seven rebounds, and three assists.  Katie Mattingly chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, five rebounds, and three assists.  Jayla Cowherd added eight points and eight rebounds.

Lexi Taylor led Bullitt East with 21 points including six of seven free throws and 11 rebounds.  Kennedy Griffin added 16 points including two three point baskets and four rebounds.
