Belmont coach Casey Alexander started the following lineup: 6-7 Gr.Tyler Scanlon, 6-4 Sr. Michael Benkert, 6-11 So.Nick Muszynski, 6-2 So.Grayson Murphy, and 6-3 So. Adam Kunkel.  Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-7 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-3 Sr. Ty Taylor, 6-8 So. Tre King, 6-0 Jr. Russhard Cruickshank, and 6-2 So. Jomaru Brown.

Belmont took an early lead and was never threatened in an 83-70 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Belmont shot 48.4% from the field including 12 of 27 from the three point line.  The Bruins connected on 11 of 12 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 50% from the field including 13 of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 15 Belmont turnovers. 

Adam Kunkel led Belmont with 22 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, and three assists.  Tyler Scanlon added 14 points including five of six free throws, , four rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Grayson Murphy recorded 13 points, four rebounds, seven assists, and seven steals.  6-6 Fr. Ben Sheppard chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets.

6-9 Sr. Lachlan Anderson led Eastern Kentucky University with 15 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two steals.  Ty Taylor added 11 points including three three point baskets,  6-2 Jr.JacQuess Hobbs recorded 11 points including two three point baskets.  Michael Moreno added 10 points including two three point baskets,10 rebounds, and four assists.  Jomaru Brown chipped in with nine points, five rebounds, and two assists.
