Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-9 Sr. Taleya Todd, 5-11 Sr. Jekauri McKeithen, 5-5 Fr. Eve Carter, and 5-5 Jr. Brianna Bierbaum. Paul Laurence Dunbar coach Nick Runyon countered with 5-10 Jr. Elise Ellison-Coons, 5-8 So. Aziah Campbell, 5-8 Jr. Haley Gadd, 5-5 So. Carley Hinshaw, and 5-8 Jr. Tanaya Cecil.
Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 21 steals and six blocked shots and scored 29 points off 31 Madison Central turnovers in a 51-30 victory over the Indians. Dunbar shot 35.3% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Bulldogs connected on nine of 12 free throws and pulled down 27 rebounds. Madison Central shot 35.3% from the field including one of five from beyond the arc. The Indians connected on five of eight free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored six points off 17 Dunbar turnovers.
Elise Ellison-Coons led Dunbar with 21 points including three three point baskets, six of six free throws, six rebounds, three assists, and eight steals. Tanaya Cecil added 20 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, and two steals. Aziah Campbell recorded seven points, two blocked shots, and four steals.
Taleya Todd led Madison Central with 16 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Jekauri McKeithen added seven points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
