Madison Southern coach Austin Newton started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jonah Wooten, 6-1 Sr. Chad Fugate, 6-4 So. Nate Turner, 5-7 Sr. Colby Sebastian, and 5-11 Sr. Hunter Buchanan.  Madison Central coach Allen Feldhaus Jr. countered with 6-4 Jr. Kole Browne, 6-2 Fr. Jaylen Davis, 6-5 Fr. Trey Skaggs, 6-1 Jr. Braeden Ray, and 6-2 Jr.Alex Rogers.

 

Madison Central trailed 27-19 at halftime but rallied in the second half fueled by 11 points and six rebounds by 5-11 8th Grade Kenyatta Hardge to defeat Madison Southern by the score of 53-46.  Madison Central shot 37.8% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 21 of 29 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and committed 16 turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 34% from the field including five of18 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 18 rebounds, and committed eight turnovers.

 

Braeden Ray led Madison Central with 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Kenyatta Hardge added 11 points  and six rebounds in 14 minutes, all in the second half.  6-4 So. Will Hardin recorded 10 points and six rebounds.  Alex Rogers chipped in with seven points and six rebounds.  Kole Browne added seven points, two rebounds, and two assists.

 

Nate Turner led Madison Southern with 11 points including two three point baskets.  Hunter Buchanan added 11 points including two three point baskets, two rebounds, and two steals.  Chad Fugate recorded eight points, three rebounds, and three assists.  Colby Sebastian chipped in with seven points, three rebounds, and three assists.
