Karsten Poe in only his second start at QB led Paintsville to a 28-21 overtime victory over Raceland. Karsten Poe scored on a 10 yard run and Braydon Combs nailed the conversion kick to give Paintsville a 28-21 lead in overtime. Raceland’s Jake Heighton was stopped on a 4th and goal on the one yard line to preserve the victory. Paintsville recorded 16 first downs and 312 yards of total offense. The Tigers were penalized nine times for 70 yards and had one pass intercepted. Raceland recorded 18 first downs and 290 yards of total offense. The Rams were penalized three times for 30 yards and had two passes intercepted.
Harris Phelps led Paintsville’s ground game with 128 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Karsten Poe carried the ball 10 times for 38 yards and three touchdowns. Karsten Poe completed seven of 11 passes for 143 yards. Zach Taylor caught three passes for 62 yards. Jonah Porter added two receptions for 54 yards. Mason Lovely led the defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles. Nathan Marsillett added seven solo tackles. Luke Hyden recorded seven solo and two assisted tackles. Jonah Blackburn chipped in with five solo and two assisted tackles. Karsten Poe added three solo and five assisted tackles. Devin Hall recorded six solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 10 yards. Frederick James intercepted a pass he returned 12 yards.
Noah Wallace led Raceland’s ground game with 81 yards on 11 carries. Jake Heighton carried the ball 19 times for 64 yards and two touchdowns. Jules Farrow recorded 25 yards on eight carries. Jake Heighton completed 11 of 17 passes for 109 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions. Connor Hughes caught five passes for 28 yards. Parker Fannin added two receptions for 25 yards and a touchdown. Jules Farrow caught two passes for 24 yards. Hunter Correll led the defense with five solo tackles. Xander Jenkins added four solo tackles and Connor Hughes intercepted a pass.
