Morehead State University coach Greg Todd started the following lineup: 6-0 S0. Ariel Kirkwood, 6-0 So. Lauren Carter, 6-2 So. Gabby Crawford, 5-9 So. Tai’Janique Perry-Ellis, and 5-9 Sr. Jazzmyn Elston.  Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams countered with 5-11 Fr. Corriana Evans, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-9 Fr. Amerah Steele, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler.

Eastern Kentucky University defeated Morehead State University by the score of 74-59.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 37.7% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 21 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.  Morehead State University shot 33.9% from the field including four of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers.

5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati led Eastern Kentucky University with 17 points including six of eight free throws, nine rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots.  Jayla Johnson added 16 points including five of six free throws, five rebounds, and two steals.  5-10 Jr. Kynnedy Azubike recorded 12 points and three rebounds.  Kendall Wingler added 11 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three assists. 

Jazzmyn Elston led Morehead State with 14 points including two three point baskets and two steals.  Lauren Carter added 10 points, eight rebounds, and three assists.  5-10 So. Tomiyah Alford recorded nine points.  Ariel Kirkwood chipped in with nine points, four rebounds, and two assists.  Gabby Crawford added six points on six of six from the free throw line and five rebounds.  6-1 Jr. Ellie Jo Johnson recorded five points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.
