Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 5-11 Fr. Corriana Evans, 6-3 So. Emma Hacker, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Jr. Kynnedy Azubike. ( EKU was without the services of 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson who is recovering from a concussion).  Austin Peay coach David Midlick countered with 6-0 Jr. Maggie Knowles, 5-10 Sr. Sr. Myah Leflore, 6-1 Fr. Kemia Ward, 5-4 Sr. Brandi Ferby, and 5-6 Sr. Brianah Ferby.

 

Austin Peay raced out to a 21-7 first quarter lead on their way to a 69-51 victory over Austin Peay.  Austin Peay shot 39.7% from the field including 10 of 35 from the three point line.  The Governors connected on 13 of 19 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 26 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 28.8% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 15 of 20 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored six points off 20 Austin Peay turnovers.

 

Maggie Knowles led Austin Peay with 22 points including six three point baskets and five rebounds.  Brianah Ferby added 20 points including three three point baskets, seven of 10 free throws, four rebounds, and three steals.  6-0 Sr. Kelen Kenol recorded 12 points and five rebounds. 

 

5-9 Fr. Amerah Steele led Eastern Kentucky University with 12 points including two three point baskets and three assists.  Bria Bass added nine points and four rebounds.  Alice Recanati recorded eight points, nine rebounds, and four steals.  Corriana Evans chipped in with eight points and seven rebounds.
