Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb.  Austin Peay coach Matt Figger countered with 6-5 Sr. Terry Taylor, 6-3 GS Reginald Gee, 6-8 So. Mike Peake, 5-10 So. Carlos Paez, and 6-1 Fr. Tai’Reon Joseph.

Eastern Kentucky University utilized a career night bu Wendell Green Jr. and some clutch play down the stretch to defeat Austin Peay by the score of 80-75.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 45.5% from the field including 11 of 22 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 19 of 27 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Austin Peay turnovers.  Austin Peay shot 38.2% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Governors connected on 19 of 21 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 18 EKU turnovers.

Wendell Green Jr. led Eastern Kentucky University with 30 points including five three point baskets, seven of eight free throws, and five rebounds.  6-0 Jr. Brandon Knapper added 15 points including seven of 10 free throws.  Tre King recorded 13 points and seven rebounds.  Michael Moreno chipped in with eight points, 11 rebounds, and four steals.

6-2 So. Alec Woodard led Austin Peay with 17 points including eight of nine free throws.  Terry Taylor added 16 points and eight rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Elton Walker recorded 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Carlos Paez chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and four assists.  Reginald Gee added 10 points and five rebounds.
