Ryle coach Keaton Belcher started the following lineup: 6-5 Sr. Tyler Bush, 6-2 Jr. Dominick Amorello, 6-6 Sr. Graves Fryman, 5-9 Jr. Donovan Robinson, and 5-6 Jr. Conner Bishop. Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-6 So. Chandler Starks, 6-5 Jr. Colin McHale, 6-7 Jr. Mitchell Rylee, 5-9 So. Evan Ipsaro, and 6-4 Sr. Donavan Stocks.
Covington Catholic dominated tonight in a 79-32 victory over Ryle. Covington Catholic shot 58.8% from the field including nine of 17 from the three point line. The Colonels connected on 10 of 18 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and committed six turnovers. Ryle shot 28.6% from the field including five of 18 from beyond the arc. The Raiders connected on three of seven free throws, pulled down 15 rebounds, and committed 14 turnovers.
Chandler Starks led a balanced Covington Catholic attack with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and two blocked shots. Mitchell Rylee added 12 points and five rebounds. Donovan Stocks recorded 12 points including two three point baskets and four assists. Evan Ipsaro chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets, three rebounds, five assists, and four steals.
Donovan Robinson led Ryle with 10 points including two three point baskets. Tyler Bush added five points and five rebounds.
