Jacksonville State University coach Ray Harper started the following lineup: 6-9 So. Jay Pal, 6-7 Sr. Kayne Henry, 6-10 Sr. Martin Roub, 6-1 Jr. Jalen Finch, and 6-3 Sr. Darian Adams.  Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-0 Jr. Brandon Knapper.

Eastern Kentucky University defeated Jacksonville State University 69-66 in overtime.  There were 11 ties and 20 lead changes in this game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 33.7% from the field including six of 32 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on seven of 12 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 18 Jacksonville State turnovers.  Jacksonville State shot 33.3% from the field including three of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Gamecocks connected on 15 of 19 free throws, pulled down 58 rebounds, and scored six points off seven Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  The Gamecocks held a 29-9 advantage on second chance points and enjoyed a 35-5 advantage in bench scoring.

Tre King led the Colonels with 16 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, and four blocked shots.  Wendell Green Jr. added 15 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Curt Lewis recorded 13 points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Brandon Knapper chipped in with 12 points and five rebounds.  6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb added five points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Michael Moreno had eight points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.

6-10 Sr. Brandon Huffman led Jacksonville State with 16 points, 16 rebounds, and four blocked shots.  6-6 So. Juwan Perdue added 14 points including six of six free throws and 10 rebounds.  Jalen Finch recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Adrian Adams chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.  Jay Pal added eight points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
