Tennessee Tech coach John Pelphrey started the following lineup: 6-6 Fr. Austin Harvell, 6-4 Jr. Damaria Franklin, 6-8 Jr. Amadou Sylla, 6-0 Jr. Jr. Clay, and 6-2 So.Keishawn Davidson.  Eastern Kentucky coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb. 

 

Eastern Kentucky pulled away late to earn a 90-80 victory over Tennessee Tech.  The score was tied 80-80 but Cooper Robb hit two three point shots to give the Colonels an 86-80 lead on their way to victory.  The score was tied six times and there were 14 lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 47.3% from the field including 16 of 37 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 16 Tennessee Tech turnovers.  Tennessee Tech shot 48.3% from the field including 15 of 31 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on nine of 12 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 10 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Tre King led Eastern Kentucky with 29 points including two three point baskets and nine rebounds.  Michael Moreno added 13 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Curt Lewis recorded 11 points including three three point baskets, two rebounds, and two assists.  Cooper Robb chipped in with 11 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Wendell Green Jr .added 10 points, three rebounds, 15 assists, and two steals. 

 

Keishawn Davidson led Tennessee Tech with 18 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, four rebounds, and five assists.  Jr. Clay added 15 points including two three point baskets and 10 assists.  Damaria Franklin recorded 14 points including four three point baskets, five rebounds, and two assists.  6-10 Gr. Shandon Goldman chipped in with 12 points on four three point baskets and three steals.  6-6 So. Dane Quest added nine points and six rebounds.
