Tates Creek vs. Lexington Catholic (Girls)

Tates Creek coach Matt Yates started the following lineup: 5-8 Jr. Caty Amishaw, 5-7 Sr. Aaleyah Yates, 5-9 Jr. Elyse Baker, 5-2 Jr. Alisce Lyvers, and 5-5 Jr. Maddie Kauffman.  Lexington Catholic coach Donald L. Tegt countered with 5-11 Jr. Chloe Treece, 5-7 So. Katherine Truitt, 5-10 Sr. Emma Frank, 5-5 So. Mary-Martin Hampton, and 5-6 Jr. Hannah Carlisle.

 

Lexington Catholic raced out to a 21-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 56-46 victory over Tates Creek.  Lexington Catholic shot 37.3% from the field including one of 11 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on 17 of 22 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 19 Tates Creek turnovers.  Tates Creek shot 27.1% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Commodores connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 18 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Katherine Truitt led Lexington Catholic with 15 points including seven of eight free throws, and 11 rebounds.  Chloe Treece added 12 points including four of four free throws, six rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  Hannah Carlisle recorded 11 points and three steals.  Emma Frank pulled down nine rebounds.

 

Maddie Kauffman led Tates Creek with 12 points, four rebounds, and two steals.  Alisce Lyvers added 10 points, six rebounds, and three assists.  Elyse Baker recorded eight points and nine rebounds.
