Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Jack Gohmann, 6-4 So. Hudson Sparks, 6-10 So. Reece Potter, 6-1 Sr. Ryan Russell, and 6-2 Sr. Ben Johnson.  Lafayette coach Michael Mendenhall III countered with 6-3 Sr. Campbell DeYoung, 6-2 Sr. Daniel Kinley, 6-5 Jr. Abe Nelson, 5-10 Sr. Kobe Blake, and 5-10 Sr. Will Stanfield.

 

Lexington Catholic defeated Lafayette by the score of 74-59.  Lexington Catholic shot 42.4% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Lafayette turnovers.  Lafayette shot 33.8% from the field including nine of 32 from beyond the arc.  The Generals connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored nine points off 11 Lexington Catholic turnovers.

 

Ben Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 23 points including three three point baskets, eight rebounds, and six assists.  Ryan Russell added 17 points including two three point baskets, eight rebounds, and three assists.  Reece Potter recorded 10 points and six rebounds.  Jack Gohmann chipped in with 10 points and four rebounds.  Hudson Sparks added nine points, seven rebounds, and two steals.

 

Will Stanfield led Lafayette with 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists.  6-0 Sr. Torri Hunter added 12 points and four rebounds.  Abe Nelson recorded eight points and five rebounds.  Kobe Blake chipped in with six points and four rebounds.  Campbell DeYoung added six points, six rebounds, and two assists.
