Scott County coach Tim Glenn started the following lineup: 6-2 Jr. Isaiah Haynes, 6-2 Jr. Jeremy Hamilton, 6-4 Sr. Elias Richardson, 5-8 Sr. Chase Grigsby, and 6-1 Jr. Micah Glenn. East Jessamine coach Matthew Chewning countered with 6-2 Sr. Zion Thomas, 5-10 Sr. Cam Thompson, 6-5 Sr. Caleb Smith, 5-10 Sr. Ben McNew, and 5-10 Sr. Devin Johnson,
East Jessamine raced out to a 23-11 first quarter lead on their way to a 64-53 victory over Scott County. East Jessamine shot 51% from the field including eight of 15 from the three point line. The Jaguars connected on six of 11 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 11 Scott County turnovers. Scott County shot 34.6% from the field including six of 14 from beyond the arc. The Cardinals connected on 11 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 East Jessamine turnovers.
Devin Johnson led East Jessamine with 16 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three steals. Zion Thomas added 14 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists. Ben McNew recorded 14 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds. Caleb Smith chipped in with eight points and two rebounds.
Isaiah Haynes led Scott County with 13 points including two three point baskets. 5-8 Jr. JZ Middleton added nine points. Elias Richardson recorded nine points and three rebounds. Micah Glenn chipped in with eight points and two rebounds. Jeremy Hamilton pulled down six rebounds and four steals.
