East Jessamine vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

East Jessamine coach Steve Bridenbaugh started the following lineup: 5-6 So. Iesha Dean, 5-4 Jr. Irma Hagins, 5-8 Sr. Hannah McLain, 5-5 So. Jaila Yeast, and 5-6 So. Jermyra Christian.  Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-10 So. Bella Moberly, 5-6 Jr. Morgan Flannery, 6-0 Jr. Reece Estep, 5-7 Sr. Samantha Cornelison, and 5-8 Sr. Lacie Parks.

 

Madison Southern scored 30 points off 32 East Jessamine turnovers and recorded 20 steals in a 59-35 victory over the Lady Jaguars.  Madison Southern shot 32.3% from the field including five of 21 from the three point line.  The Lady Eagles connected on 14 of 22 free throws and pulled down 46 rebounds.  East Jessamine shot 31.7% from the field including one of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jaguars connected on eight of 19 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored seven points off 21 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 15 points including six of eight free throws, five rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  Lacie Parks added 12 points including three three point baskets.  Reece Estep recorded nine points, 11 rebounds, two assists, and three steals.  5-3 7th Grade Hadley French chipped in with five points, three rebounds, and two assists.  5-7 Jr. Hannah Ashcraft added four points, four rebounds, and three steals.

 

Iesha Dean led East Jessamine with nine points, eight rebounds, one blocked shot, and five steals.  5-9 So. Linzey Napier added six points.  Hannah McLain recorded five points, four rebounds, four blocked shots, and two steals.  Irma Hagins chipped in with five points and three rebounds.  5-4 So. Reece Evans recorded four points, six rebounds, and two steals.
