Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Darik Holman, 6-2 Sr. Aziel Blackwell, 6-3 Sr. Harrison Lynch, 5-8 Jr. Sincere Madison, and 6-1 Sr. Kanye Henderson.  Madison Southern coach Austin Newton countered with 6-3 Sr. Trent DeVries, 5-9 Sr. Jayden Adams, 6-2 Jr. Blake Simpson, 5-7 So. Zach Hudson, and 5-8 Jr. Walter Smith.

Henry Clay led 49-33 with 3:15 left in the third quarter but had to survive a furious Madison Southern rally to earn a 77-76 victory.  The score was tied three times and there were three lead changes in this game.  Henry Clay shot 52,3% from the field including six of 19 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 25 of 33 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Madison Southern turnovers.  Madison Southern shot 50% from the field including 12 of 23 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 14 of 19 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 17 Henry Clay turnovers.

Aziel Blackwell led Henry Clay with 21 points including 11 of 12 free throws, six rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals.  Darik Holman added 14 points, eight rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals.  5-8 So. Konlin Brown also recorded 14 points including four three point baskets.  Kanye Henderson chipped in with nine points including four of five free throws, two assists, and three steals.  6-0 So. Mason Hawkins added eight points including four of five free throws.

Trent DeVries led Madison Southern with 22 points including five three point baskets, four assists, and two steals.  Jayden Adams added 15 points including three three point baskets.  6-1 So. Jay Rose recorded 10 points and five rebounds.  Zach Hudson chipped in with nine points on three three point baskets and three rebounds.
