Lafayette coach Allison Denton started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Olivia Cathers, 5-7 So. Kiley Noble, 6-0 Sr. Anaya Brown, 5-1 Jr. Catherine Jacobs, and 5-5 So. Gracyn Grantz. Tates Creek coach Matt Yates countered with 5-7 Sr. Aaleyah Yates, 5-4 Sr. Katelyn Shelton, 5-9 Jr. Elyse Baker, 5-2 Jr. Alisce Lyvers, and 5-5 Jr. Maddie Kauffman.
Lafayette earned a close 52-49 decision over Tates Creek tonight. Lafayette shot 38.9% from the field including six of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 18 of 31 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Tates Creek turnovers. Tates Creek shot 25.9% from the field including four of 14 from beyond the arc. The Lady Commodores connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 14 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.
Anaya Brown led Lafayette with 27 points including 16 of 24 free throws, 16 rebounds, two blocked shots, and two steals. Kiley Noble added nine points on three three point baskets and five rebounds. Gracyn Grantz recorded six points, two rebounds, and two steals.
Maddie Kauffman led Tates Creek with 19 points including three three point baskets, four of five free throws, four rebounds, and three assists. 5-8 Jr. Caty Amishaw added eight points and five rebounds. Elyse Baker recorded seven points, four rebounds, and four steals. Alisce Lyvers added three points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
