South Laurel coach Chris Souder started the following lineup: 5-10 So. Emily Cox, 5-9 So. Gracie Turner, 6-2 Jr. Rachel Presley, 5-5 Sr. Brianna Howard, and 5-10 So. Raegan Jones. Christian Academy of Louisville coach Cameron Pridemore countered with 5-9 Sr. Delaney Gardner, 5-6 Fr. Savannah Gardner, 6-0 Sr. Sydney Raque, 5-7 Jr. Jaya McClure, and 5-6 Jr. Abigail Embry.
Christian Academy of Louisville defeated South Laurel by the score of 53-35. CAL shot 34% from the field including three of 16 from the three point line. The Lady Centurions connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 21 South Laurel turnovers. South Laurel shot 32.4% from the field including four of 13 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cardinals connected on seven of 11 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored five points off six CAL turnovers.
Jaya McClure led CAL with 16 points including six of nine free throws, four rebounds, three assists, and four steals. Sydney Raque added 12 points including two three point baskets, three assists, and four steals. Abigail Embry recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and four steals. Savannah Gardner chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.
Rachel Presley led South Laurel with 11 points, six rebounds, and three blocked shots. 5-7 Fr. Kylie Clem added eight points including two three point baskets.
