Boyle County vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

Boyle County coach Ryan Wiersma started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Ella Coffey, 5-6 Jr. Alexus Phegley, 5-9 So.Peyton Bugg, 5-5 Fr. Andy Glasscock, and 5-5 Sr. Emily Glasscock.  Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-10 So. Bella Moberly, 5-7 Sr. Lacie Parks, 6-0 Jr. Reece Estep, 5-6 Jr. Morgan Flannery, and 5-7 Sr. Samantha Cornelison.

 

Madison Southern trailed 11-8 after the first quarter but the Lady Eagles rallied for a 48-35 victory over Boyle County.  There were four lead changes and two ties in this game.  Madison Southern shot 42.1% from the field including four of 14 from the three point line. The Lady Eagles connected on 12 of 19 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 12 points off eight Boyle County turnovers.  Boyle County shot 25.7% from the field including two of 15 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Rebels connected on 15 of 25 free throws, pulled down 16 rebounds, and scored nine points off 17 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 13 points including four of four free throws, five rebounds, and five assists.  Bella Moberly added 11 points and six rebounds.  Morgan Flannery recorded nine points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Reece Estep added six points, 10 rebounds, and five assists.

 

Emily Glasscock led Boyle County with 14 points and three rebounds.  5-2 So. Zoey Robbins added 10 points including five of six free throws and two steals.  Peyton Bugg recorded six points, two rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
