West Jessamine vs. Madison Southern (Girls)

West Jessamine coach Thomas Chestnut started the following lineup: 5-6 So. Blake Wiley, 5-5 Sr. Haylee Rutherford, 5-8 Sr. Alleyse Steinkuhl, 5-0 7th Grade Isabella Lewis, and 5-0 7th Grade Anaya Chestnut.  Madison Southern coach Josh Curtis countered with 5-11 Jr. Macie Daniels, 5-7 Sr. Lacie Parks, 6-0 Jr. Reece Estep, 5-6 Jr. Morgan Flannery, and 5-7 Sr. Samantha Cornelison.

 

Madison Southern defeated West Jessamine by the score of 64-28.  Madison Southern shot 46.3% from the field including five of 16 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 19 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 22.7% from the field including five of 16 from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on three of 13 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored four points off 11 Madison Southern turnovers.

 

Samantha Cornelison led Madison Southern with 30 points including three three point baskets, five of six free throws, five rebounds, three assists, and five steals.  Lacie Parks added 10 points and two rebounds.  Reece Estep recorded four points and seven rebounds.

 

Anaya Chestnut led West Jessamine with seven points, four rebounds, and four assists.  Haylee Rutherford added six points on two three point baskets and three rebounds.  5-7 Jr. Danielle Aubry recorded six points on two three point baskets.
