Madison Central vs. West Jessamine (Girls)

Madison Central coach Brad Lovely started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Raelynn Miller, 5-7 Fr. Bailey Hensley, 5-11 Sr. Gretchen Hammitt, 5-4 So. Eve Carter, and 5-7 So. Chloe Freeman.  West Jessamine coach Thomas Chestnut countered with 5-8 Sr. Alleyse Steinkuhl, 5-5 Sr. Haylee Rutherford, 6-0 Jr. Delaysia Thomas, 5-0 7th Grade Isabella Lewis, and 5-0 7th Grade Anaya Chestnut.

 

Madison Central defeated West Jessamine by the score of 51-33.  Madison Central shot 42% from the field including one of ten from the three point line.  The Indians connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 28 West Jessamine turnovers.  West Jessamine shot 30.6% from the field including one of eight from beyond the arc.  The Colts connected on 10 of 17 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored nine points off 18 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Bailey Hensley led Madison Central with 12 points, five rebounds, and four steals.  5-5 Sr. Brianna Bierbaum added eight points.  Chloe Freeman recorded seven points, three rebounds, and three steals.

 

Anaya Chestnut led West Jessamine with 10 points including four of four free throws and two assists.  Isabella Lewis added seven points, six rebounds, and two steals.  5-10 Jr. Aaliyah Edenstrom recorded five points, nine rebounds, one blocked shot, and one steal.  Alleyse Steinkuhl chipped in with five points, five rebounds, and three steals.
