Eastern Kentucky University coach Samantha Williams started the following lineup: 6-3 So. Emma Hacker, 5-11 Sr. Bria Bass, 6-2 Sr. Jayla Johnson, 5-9 Fr. Alice Recanati, and 5-10 Fr. Kendall Wingler. Tennessee Tech coach Kim Rosamond countered with 6-1 Jr. Anna Jones, 5-8 So. Jada Guinn, 6-3 Sr. Mackenzie Coleman, 5-7 Sr. Jordan Brock, and 5-7 Sr. Kesha Brady.
Tennessee Tech raced out to a 23-14 first quarter lead on their way to a 74-58 victory over Eastern Kentucky University. Tennessee Tech shot 39.1% from the field including six of 26 from the three point line. The Golden Eagles connected on 18 of 23 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored seven points off 11 Eastern Kentucky turnovers. Eastern Kentucky University shot 37.5% from the field including seven of 18 from beyond the arc. The Colonels connected on nine of 13 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored nine points off seven Tennessee Tech turnovers.
Anna Jones led a balanced Tennessee Tech scoring attack with 17 points including four of five free throws, and five rebounds. Kesha Brady added 16 points including seven of nine free throws, and eight rebounds. Mackenzie Coleman recorded 15 points including five of six free throws, eight rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots. Jordan Brock chipped in with 12 points including three three point baskets, four rebounds, and two assists. Jada Guinn recorded 12 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists.
Alice Recanati led Eastern Kentucky University with 22 points including five of five free throws, six rebounds, and four assists. Jayla Johnson added 11 points and six rebounds. Bria Bass recorded seven points and five rebounds.
